Job Description

Business Development Related

  1. Identify perspective business opportunity (consulting Opportunity) for the organization.
  2. Be aware of and be updated on the consulting opportunities/projects funded by various donor agencies in the assigned sector(s) well in advance and prepare accordingly.
  3. Study project documents and other relevant documents and be aware of scope of projects and consulting opportunities.
  4. Correspond / communicate with potential international / domestic partner firms for various consulting projects in the assigned sectors.
  5. Identify best international / domestic firm(s) for the projects – Interact, identify and tie up with a firm (s) who has relevant consulting experience, strong human resources relevant to the project, strong financial resources. This will involve detailed & extensive assessments.
  6. Accompany and liaise with international principals to client and related organizations during their visits.
  7. Identify best local resource personnel for the projects - To interact, identify and tie up with best resource personnel to be proposed through TMS in the projects. This will involve detailed & extensive assessment, financial negotiations etc.
  8. Build good rapport with resource consultants and national and international perspective partner firms.
  9. Assist in preparing Expression of Interests (EOIs) and Proposals. This includes coordinating with partners and experts; document compilations; preparing CVs & Project Reference Sheets etc. and assisting in preparation of Approach and Methodologies, Work Plans and Staffing Schedules.
  10. Prepare financial proposals.
  11. Participate in contract negotiations with the client.
  12. Identify areas/concept with experts / partner firm(s) / Clients for Conceiving Projects and new business opportunities.
  13. Handle overall documents and provide all necessary information to project implementation team and finance department after signing of contract.

    Project Coordination Related
  14. Coordinate with consultants and clients on project related matters.
  15. Develop project schedules and work-plans in coordination with team leader
  16. Work closely with consultants to ensure deliverables meet the targets and standards.
  17. Work closely with the team leader to monitor project progress.
  18. Plan and implement project related activities.
  19. Work closely with team leader of the project to develop administrative and operational systems and recruiting required project personnel.
  20. Manage contracts with clients, partners, and consultants.
  21. Develop and implement project implementation manual.
  22. Ensure financial management of project in coordination with finance and accounts department.
  23. Make field visits to project sites as and when required.
  24. Maintain regular visits to client (that include government agencies and international donor organizations) and build professional rapport with client.
  25. Work with international partners to ensure proper project implementation.
  26. Participate in meetings and seminars related to the project.
  27. Facilitate project related workshops and seminars when required.

Job Specification
Qualification:
B (Dev. Studies / Social Sciences)/ BBA / B. Com / B.E. (Civil) – completed.
M (Dev. Studies) / MBA (General) / M.RD – preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience in Liaison/ Public Relation and 1 year in Relevant Field.
Duty Station:
Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu (Will be required to travel on official purpose(s))
Working Hours:
9:30 a.m. till 6 p.m. {inclusive of 1 hour lunch break}
Communication:
Good english verbal and written communication is a must
Skills:
a) Interpersonal and Correspondence Skills, (b) Proactive and Self Motivated, (c) Learning Attitude, (d) Proposal Writing,(e) Project Management Skills such as : Time Management, Cost Control, Multitasking, Client Relationship, Progress Monitoring etc
