Project Preparation and Detailed Design work for Subregional Transport Enhancement Project as VO No. 4 under Road Connectivity Sector I Project which includes fast-tracked combined feasibility study and detail engineering design of the following roads :

• Belbari-Chaurahawa (BC) (47 km in Chaurahawa-Koshi section of East-West Highway)
• Harkhapur-Okhaldhunga (HO) (41 km)
• Okhaldhunga-Salleri (OS) (58 km)
• Chainpur – Khandbari (CK) (44km)
• Bhairahawa Bypass (BBY) (3 km)
• Nepalgunj – Kohalpur (NK) (25 km)

Overall Services provided:

    (a) Review and Updating of Field Survey and investigation

1. Topographic Survey
2. Geotechnical Survey
3. Traffic and axle load survey
4. Soil and Construction material investigation

    (b) Preparation of Tender

    (c) Detailed Engineering Design and Social Environmental Assessment (RAP/IEE/EMP)

1. Preliminary design
2. Detail engineering design of the selected option for improvement and upgrading of the project roads
3. Cost estimation

    (d) Hydraulic/Hydrological investigations and Drainage Studies

    (e) Review and Updating of the Cost Estimate

    (f) Review and update of contract packaging/bidding

    (g) Review and Update of Financing and Economic

    (h) Social Assessment Study / Resettlement Action Plan
